Job Description

Patient Services Ambassador (The Surgical Hospital at Southwoods) 2.8 2.8 out of 5 stars AVI Foodsystems is looking for an energetic and optimistic team member to fill the role of Patient Services Ambassador at The Surgical Hospital at Southwoods in Boardman, OH . This position is scheduled Monday through Friday. Includes Free Fitness Center Membership. Duties & Responsibilities:
Use an iPad to enter meal orders and communicate menu choices to patients Serve patient meals in accordance with dietary restrictions and guidelines recommended by the treating physician Read each patient's records prior to distributing appropriate meals or snacks Collect all trash and food remnants from patient rooms Promote the highest levels of quality and service Ensure proper food and sanitation standards to comply with federal, state and other regulatory agencies Maintain and foster positive and professional working relationships Other duties and responsibilities as necessary
Requirements:
A minimum of 1 year of foodservice and/or long term care experience Minimum education includes a high school diploma with ability to read, write, speak and comprehend in order to communicate with fellow team members, clients and patients Ability to follow and give written and verbal instructions Basic computer skills including experience using an IPAD or tablet A basic understanding of diet principles, food preparation and cooking methods Previous experience with computerized diet office systems is a plus
