GENERAL SUMMARY
Works under the supervision of the Support Services Manager or Director. The Patient Services Team Assistant's primary job function is to complete visit schedules for nursing and aide staff and provide general clerical support.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
• High School Diploma or successful completion of an equivalent High School Exam Required • Ability to work with computerized data bases and software e.g. word processing and spreadsheets after training required
Licensure:
None Experience:
• Prior office experience preferred
JOB SPECIFIC DUTIES AND PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS
The following is a summary of the major job duties of this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time. 1. Perform scheduling duties to include generating schedule; assigning and de-assigning patients to staff; performing scheduling system maintenance functions; scheduling to interface; charge entry/visit verification functions; maintain accurate information in patient record. 2. Perform medical records maintenance functions including registration, assembly, filing, discharge and closing discharge records, prepare admission packets and enter paper progress notes in to the Delta system. 3. General secretarial duties including copying, faxing, memos, correspondence and minutes and preparing reports. 4. Participates in monitoring and control of clerical and medical supplies/equipment. 5. Conducts monthly concurrent audit of clinical records prior to billing. 6.
