Job Description
Verifies insurance plan coverage and prior authorization requirements prior to scheduled appointment. Must have two years precertification experience. Schedules appointments for patients and performs various clerical duties to pre-register patients. Contacts patients to confirm appointments, notify patient of financial responsibility, and prepare office chart for patient. Answers incoming calls to medical office, assists the caller with needed information or directs the call to the nursing staff. Completes medical records requests, Processes incoming and outgoing mail. Performs other duties as assigned or requested.
