Our growing women's health organization is looking for a Referral Coordinator who can turn a mountain of referrals into a well-orchestrated masterpiece. You'll be the behind-the-scenes hero ensuring our patients connect with the specialty care they need while working alongside an amazing team dedicated to exceptional women's healthcare. About the
Role:
This is a full-time opportunity working on-site at our Admin location in Eugene, Oregon. The position has an expectation of 40hrs per week (Monday - Friday) and we are proud to offer a great benefits package. Our Referral Coordinator recruiting pay range is $19.80 - $23.86.
What will you do:
Receive, review, and process patient referrals from external healthcare providers or patients. Verify and confirm referral completeness, including required documentation and medical records. Contact referred patients to schedule initial appointments, ensuring alignment with provider availability. Coordinate appointment times with appropriate clinical teams and ensure necessary pre-visit preparations are completed. Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility. Obtain prior authorizations as required by insurance carriers for consultations and procedures. Act as a primary point of contact for new patients, addressing questions, concerns, and providing clear instructions. Maintain open communication with referring providers, updating them on the status of referrals. Accurately document patient information and referral details in the electronic health record (EHR) system. Work closely with clinical and administrative staff to streamline processes and resolve scheduling or referral-related challenges.
Requirements:
What do you need to bring to the role: High School Diploma or GED equivalent. One year of medical office experience preferred.
