This position also updates insurance information and addresses, schedules appointments, and collects patient payments.
  • Maintain Patient confidentiality at all times. Some additional duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Communicate accurate and pertinent information with patient care providers and other members of the care delivery team to facilitate effective and efficient patient care.
  • Greet all patients.
  • Register new patients into the computer.
  • Make new charts when needed.
  • Update established accounts and information on the computer when it has changed.
  • Prepare charge tickets and charts for next day's appointments.
  • Answer phones, address patient requests, take messages, and transfer calls appropriately.
  • Send for patient records and prepare other correspondence for mailing.
  • Schedule appointments accurately according to established computer templates and meeting patient needs.
  • Share information appropriately and in a timely manner.
  • Participate in activities that identify opportunities for improvement and communicate these opportunities to the Manager.
