Job Description

The Outpatient Registrar serves as the first point of contact for patients, supporting accurate registration, insurance verification, scheduling, and financial counseling within a hospital setting. This role ensures a smooth patient experience while maintaining confidentiality, accuracy, and excellent customer service throughout the registration process.
Location:
Doylestown, PA (Onsite)
Salary:
$19-20 per hour
Essential Functions:
Complete patient pre-registration and registration accurately and efficiently Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, and authorizations prior to services Collect and explain patient financial responsibilities and payment requirements Enter and update patient information within registration systems Support patient scheduling and administrative processes Provide excellent customer service while maintaining patient confidentiality Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to support patient needs Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required Previous patient access, hospital registration, medical receptionist, or healthcare customer service experience preferred Insurance verification and authorization experience preferred EPIC experience strongly preferred Strong communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills Ability to multitask and prioritize competing responsibilities Comfortable working in a fast-paced hospital environment Team-oriented with strong attention to detail LA123
