Job Description
Our client, a busy medical practice in the Doylestown area, is seeking a Patient Service Associate (PSA) to support front desk operations and provide an exceptional patient experience. This is a contract position expected to last approximately 8 weeks and is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment. The Patient Service Associate will serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors while managing a high volume of administrative, scheduling, and patient support responsibilities. This position is fully on-site with hours of 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Key Responsibilities Greet and check in patients for appointments
Answer and direct incoming phone calls professionally and efficiently
Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments
Maintain accurate patient information within EPIC
Scan and upload medical records and documentation into patient charts
Assist with patient registration and demographic updates
Manage incoming faxes and other office correspondence
Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow
Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance at all times
- Previous experience in a customer service or patient-facing support role.
- Ability to manage a high volume of inbound calls while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
- Experience scheduling appointments in a healthcare or clinical environment.
- Working knowledge of Epic software or a comparable electronic health record system.
- Familiarity with neurology practice support or another specialized medical office setting is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail when handling charts, graphs, and patient-related documentation.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to learn new processes through training.
