A Registrar or Patient Service Representative provides direct assistance to patients at a health care or long term care facility. Answers questions and helps resolve complaints; provides liaison with health care providers; may assist with coordinating appointments or addressing billing or insurance issues.
Advanced Foot & Ankle Wellness Center is seeking an experienced, dependable, and proactive Medical Office Operations Coordinator to help oversee the daily operations of our growing podiatry practice. We are a small, privately owned medical practice led by one physician. This position works directly with the physician, one•two additional in-office team member, and our remote support staff (phones and billing). Every member of our team plays an important role in delivering exceptional patient care. This is more than a front desk or medical assistant position. We're looking for someone who enjoys improving systems, keeping the office organized, solving problems, and ensuring nothing falls through the cracks. Success in this role means the physician can focus on patient care knowing the practice is running efficiently behind the scenes. Schedule Part-Time•Approximately 25-30 hours per week

About Our Practice We are a growing private podiatry practice committed to providing personalized, high-quality foot and ankle care. We typically care for approximately 20-25 patients per day in a fast-paced but patient-focused environment. Because we are a small practice, everyone works together. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll help coordinate daily operations while also assisting with patient care when needed. What You'll Own Working directly with the physician, you'll help ensure our office runs efficiently every day.
Responsibilities include:
Coordinating daily office workflow and patient flow Reviewing charts for accuracy and completeness Processing medical record requests within legal timeframes Monitoring HIPAA, OSHA, and office compliance Following up on referrals, imaging, prior authorizations, orthotics, and DME orders Helping improve scheduling efficiency and recall systems Monitoring cancellations, no-shows, collections, and key office metrics Working with billing to resolve insurance and reimbursement issues Helping train and support our small team while reinforcing office workflows and standards Identifying operational problems and implementing practical solutions Communicating directly with the physician regarding workflow improvements, patient experience, and operational priorities Coordinating communication with our remote phone and billing team to ensure seamless patient service Front Office & Clinical Support As a small private practice, everyone works together when needed.
Responsibilities may include:
