Job Summary The Lab's Patient Services Representative:
Registers and schedules patients. Provides customer service and clerical support. Accepts, records and verifies insurance information, processes preauthorization requests, collects copays and account balance payments. Scans documents into EMR and other administrative tasks related to the efficient operations of the department. Ensures contact with patients, families, the community, vendors, coworkers and physicians are carried out in a friendly, courteous, helpful and considerate manner. #READ Qualifications Education Requirements High School Diploma- OR•GED•OR•Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of education Certification and Licensure BLS Certification•Based on department Current PA Driver's License Required Skills Computer Skills to include use and navigation Customer Service Skills Detail Oriented Excellent Communications Skills Excellent Interpersonal Skills General Clerical Skills Medical Terminology Microsoft Office Applications Multi Line Telephone Operational Skills Multitasking Organizational Skills
