As the Financial Advocate, you will support patients throughout the scheduling and financial process by coordinating procedures, verifying insurance and referral information, and communicating patient financial responsibilities. You will work closely with patients, providers, and internal teams to ensure accurate documentation, efficient workflows, and a positive patient experience. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Coordinate and schedule complex procedures and related resources. Pre-register patients and verify demographic, insurance, and referral information. Review insurance coverage and communicate estimated patient financial responsibility. Manage referral queues, orders, and required documentation. Ensure scheduling and referral information is complete and accurate. Communicate with patients, providers, and internal teams regarding appointments and requirements. Provide professional, responsive customer service throughout the patient experience. Maintain patient confidentiality and follow applicable privacy and compliance requirements. Resolve scheduling, referral, and insurance-related issues as needed. Maintain accurate documentation within electronic health record systems. Other duties as assigned Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. 3+ years of healthcare customer service experience preferred. Experience with patient scheduling, referrals, or insurance verification. Familiarity with Epic or a similar electronic health record system preferred. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
