This job assumes responsibility for and enhances and maintains a properly functioning Hospital and Clinic Registration process through a cross-department organizational structure. Manages and leads the daily operations of all areas of Registration which has a direct impact on patient care, patient safety, clinical operations, DNFB, and billing/collections functions in a 24/7 acute care medical facility. Critical responsibilities include; direction and overall accountability for department(s) actions comprised of multiple functional areas, ensuring compliance with corporate standards, maintaining open/active communication with referring providers, facilities, and internal departments as well as ensuring department achievement of annual and periodic goals for significant statistical indicators of Patient Access performance and registration quality and collections. Manages initiatives to improve processes, maximizing efficiency, dazzling internal and external customers, and maintaining high employee morale. • High school diploma or equivalent Preferred
• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare, Business Administration or related field Work Experience Required
• 10 years of Leadership experience OR 5 years of Leadership experience with a Bachelor's Degree, both must include 3 years experience in Healthcare Management Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs) Must have computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of information.

Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally. Must be proficient with Windows-style applications, various software packages specific to role and keyboard. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to relate to executive management, professionals and business and community leaders. Excellent leadership skills including good judgment in handling difficult situations, organizational, time management, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
