Job Description Insight Global is seeking a fully remote Patient Access Representative to support a Healthcare AI client. This is a part-time opportunity working 5-15 hours/week where candidates will leverage their patient access knowledge to evaluate and improve AI-driven patient intake and access workflows. This role requires strong attention to detail and a solid understanding of patient registration, insurance verification, and care coordination processes. Laptop and equipment will be provided.
Responsibilities:
- Review patient intake and registration data alongside AI-generated recommendations for patient access workflows
- Evaluate the accuracy and completeness of demographic entry
- Identify discrepancies between AI recommendations and real-world patient access best practices and explain gaps
- Provide insights into workflows such as scheduling, registration, insurance verification, and authorization readiness
- Share operational expertise with product teams to improve AI-driven patient access processes
- Assess how AI handles common front-end challenges such as incomplete patient information, eligibility issues, and scheduling coordination
- Provide feedback on care coordination scenarios, including patient transfers and transitions between facilities

- 5+ year of patient access, registration, and scheduling in a hospital or large multi-specialty practice
- Experience with insurance entry, eligibility checks, and patient registration workflows
- Strong understanding of patient access processes, including scheduling, intake, and coordination of care
- Ability to think critically and explain reasoning behind workflow decisions
- Experience coordinating patient transfers between hospitals or care settings (as well as internal departments)
- Exposure to authorizations or financial clearance workflows
- Experience working in a fast-paced or centralized scheduling / access environment
- Comfort working in a tech-enabled or AI-supported healthcare environment
