  • Full-time Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Patient Account Representative to join our healthcare team.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Work with patients to understand and resolve their account balance; set up payment plans when necessary
  • Move accounts through the collection process in coordination with our financial policy
  • Oversee the electronic statement process
  • Handle patient billing/insurance inquiries
  • Review patient accounts regularly and contact patients about past due balances
  • Process billing transactions in a timely and productive manner
  • Maintain excellent customer service
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Job Requirements:
  • Knowledge of billing and collection practices (Previous medical billing experience)
  • Experience working with medical payers such as Medicare, Medicaid, commercial insurance
  • Working knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 coding systems
  • Experience in working medical claim denials
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Experience working with EHR
  • eClinicalWorks preferred
  • Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to work from home after training is completed
  • No supervisory duties
Education:
  • Associate degree or some post high school college credits preferred
Pay:
$19.00
