Job Description The Patient Care Educator at Lincoln Memorial University-DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine (LMUDCOM) CIPES is a key role responsible for providing comprehensive learning support to medical and other health professions students. This position involves a blend of instructional support, operational management, and administrative duties related to simulation-based and clinical skills education. The successful candidate will play a vital role in promoting the mission of Lincoln Memorial University by fostering effective working relationships with faculty, staff, and students
Required Qualifications Associates degree in nursing, science, communication, or other related field, or a current license in a health-related profession. Strong project management skills. Willingness to acquire and maintain certification as a BLS, ACLS, and/or PALS instructor
Preferred Qualifications Bachelors or Masters degree in Public Health, Education, or Health-related field. Experience in a healthcare or healthcare education setting. Professional medical, simulation, and/or education credentialing. Up-to-date knowledge of medical, simulation, and education methodologies including hi-fidelity simulation manikins.

Job Duty
Job Duty Collaborate with faculty as needed to develop and evaluate educational cases, rubrics, and clinical encounters for various health professions
Job Duty Monitor and grade student performance on patient encounters and interprofessional education (IPE) submissions
Job Duty Train and provide feedback to Standardized Patients (SPs) to ensure consistency and quality in educational activities
Job Duty Organize and conduct community outreach programs and provide faculty development sessions focused on simulation
Job Duty Manage the daily operations of the Simulation Lab, Clinical Exam Center, and Clinical Skills Lab.
Job Duty Set up, break down, and assist with simulation exercises, Objective Structured Clinical Evaluations (OSCEs), and Standardized Patient Encounters (SPEs).
Job Duty Operate and maintain a wide range of simulation technologies, including hi-fidelity manikins, task trainers, and equipment
Job Duty Develop, evaluate, and manage simulation technologies to enhance learning experiences
Job Duty Create, maintain, and report on electronic surveys, forms, and logs for data collection
Job Duty Utilize clinical evaluation software to load and manage assessment rubrics
Job Duty Complete required institutional, program accreditation, and other reports necessary for the advancement of university programs
Job Duty Participate in university committees and work in compliance with state and federal codes, statutes, and regulations
Job Duty Strong computer and technology skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and other software
Job Duty Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, who can multitask effectively and manage multiple responsibilities concurrently
Job Duty Self-motivated, conscientious, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
Job Duty Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
