Know Your Team:
BSA Hospital is a 445-bed hospital serving the Amarillo area for over 120 years and continues to be Amarillo's preferred healthcare provider. At BSA, the focus is to provide quality healthcare in Christian love, service, and dignity. Responsibilities Completes mandatory annual ACE modules in a timely manner Uses appropriate safety precautions. Supports the current Accreditation Organization, ISO, Federal, and State Regulations. Supports patient safety and compliance goals. Attends departmental meetings per policy. Complies with BSA's Code of Compliance. Complies with policies as appropriate. Regular attendance at work as required by department operations. Maintains patient confidentiality and HIPAA at all times. Demonstrates effective communication skills appropriate to a professional atmosphere. Uses IPOD And Epic systems efficiently. Responsible for adding, canceling, or updating transport jobs in EPIC. Transport patients to and from inpatient units, diagnostic areas, surgical suites, and other hospital departments. Assist patients in and out of wheelchairs, stretchers, and beds while ensuring safety and comfort. Communicate effectively with nursing staff, clinical teams, and patients regarding transport needs and schedules. Transport equipment, medical supplies, and specimens as assigned. Respond promptly to transport requests using hospital communication systems. Maintain the cleanliness and functionality of wheelchairs, stretchers, and other transport equipment. Observe patients for signs of distress and report concerns immediately to nursing staff. Uphold infection control and safety protocols, including proper hand hygiene and use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Provide courteous and respectful service to patients, families, and hospital staff.
Qualifications Job Requirements:
High School diploma / GED BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
