Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated, dependable, and compassionate Patient Representative to join our business office team in a full-time capacity. In this role, you will serve as a point of contact for patients looking to schedule appointments, while supporting the administrative operations and needs of our medical facility. Ensuring a seamless and positive patient experience. Duties Schedule appointments efficiently using medical scheduling software, coordinate follow-up visits, and handle appointment cancellations or rescheduling Answering, directing and handling in-coming calls Assist business office as needed with various tasks as requested Manage patient registration, update demographic information, and ensure accurate documentation for billing and medical records Collect and process insurance information, and verify health insurance coverage using in house tools and online websites Maintain confidentiality of patient information according to HIPAA regulations. Provide exceptional customer service via phone communication, in-person support, and interactions while demonstrating professional phone etiquette and typing skills. Requirements Proven experience in a medical office setting with familiarity in medical administrative support or front desk roles Strong knowledge of health insurance processes including Medicare, Medicaid, HIPAA compliance, and health information management Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems; experience with electronic health records management is highly preferred Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) for documentation and communication tasks Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously while demonstrating professionalism in a fast-paced environment Previous clinic experience or medical background is advantageous but not mandatory Join us to be part of a dynamic healthcare team committed to delivering outstanding patient service!
