Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented Authorization Representative to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and processing authorization requests for medical services, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations, and maintaining accurate medical records. This role requires a strong understanding of insurance verification processes. The Authorization Representative will play a crucial role in facilitating patient care by ensuring timely approvals for necessary treatments. Responsibilities Review and process authorization requests for medical procedures and services. Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility for services. Communicate with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients to gather necessary information. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations while handling sensitive patient information. Provide support in resolving any issues related to authorization denials or delays. Skills Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and compliance requirements. Familiarity with insurance verification processes and managed care systems. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail. Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing. Experience working in an office environment, preferably within a healthcare office context. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
