Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Office Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office, providing essential support to both patients and healthcare professionals. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in various office management systems. Duties Manage daily office operations, ensuring a welcoming and efficient environment for patients and staff. Assist with the preparation and maintenance of care plans for patients, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up-to-date. Perform insurance verification to confirm patient coverage and eligibility prior to appointments. Utilize electronic health record systems such as Epic and eClinicalWorks for patient data entry and management. Maintain familiarity with medical terminology to effectively communicate with healthcare providers and patients. Provide administrative support, including scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and handling correspondence. Collaborate with other office staff, including dental receptionists, to ensure comprehensive patient care and service delivery. Experience Previous experience in office management or a medical office setting is preferred. Familiarity with care plans, insurance verification processes, and electronic health record systems is highly desirable. Proficiency in computerized systems and software relevant to medical office operations is essential. A background in medical terminology will be beneficial for effective communication within the healthcare environment.
