Job Description

South Plains Rural Health Services is currently hiring in Lamesa , Texas for a Patient Records Clerk. This is a full-time position with benefits.
Schedule:
Monday-Friday 8:00AM-5:00
PM Benefits:
Dental Insurance Health Insurance Vision Insurance What you will do: 1. Greets patients and answers telephone in a courteous and professional manner, addresses questions and directs calls. 2. Ensures patient confidentiality, and provides patients with needed information. 3. Schedules appointments, pulls and prepares medical charts, and maintains smooth patient flow throughout clinic. 4. Gathers third party payment information, records charges, and bills patients for services provided as indicated on the encounter for 5. Establishes that each patient is advised of the Sliding Fee Scale and makes adjustments accordingly. 6. Collects and receives patient fees. 7. Collects and maintains patient registration and utilization data for the UDS reports. 8. Maintain positive and professional attitude toward other employees and staff. What you'll bring: 1. High School Diploma or GED required. 2. The ability to use current office machines including word processors.
