The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing patient intake processes, verifying insurance information, and ensuring accurate documentation within our electronic health record (EHR) systems. This role requires excellent communication skills, proficiency in medical administrative support, and a strong understanding of medical terminology and coding procedures. The Intake Coordinator will serve as a vital point of contact for patients and healthcare providers, facilitating smooth clinic operations and maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations. Duties Schedule patient appointments using EMR systems such as Axxess, Kinnser etc. Review and update patient medical records, ensuring completeness and accuracy of documentation review processes. Collect and document patient information related to medical history, care plans, CPT coding, ICD-9/ICD-10 codes, and other relevant data. Manage multi-line phone systems with excellent phone etiquette to handle inquiries efficiently. Assist with data entry tasks including typing, filing, and maintaining organized paper and electronic files. Support clinic staff with administrative tasks such as front desk management, medical office management, and office organization. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations during all patient interactions and documentation processes. Utilize computer skills across various platforms including Microsoft Office for documentation and communication purposes. Maintain a professional environment by adhering to confidentiality standards and providing exceptional customer service. Experience Home Health Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Axxess, Kinnser etc. Knowledge of medical billing, coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding, insurance verification procedures, and health information management is essential. Excellent communication skills coupled with attention to detail will ensure success in this role.
