In this vital role, you will provide exceptional patient care and support clinical operations across various medical specialties, including dermatology, hospital medicine, urgent care, and outpatient clinics. Your expertise will help ensure smooth patient flow, accurate documentation, and high-quality service delivery. Responsibilities Assist healthcare providers with patient intake, including collecting medical histories and documenting symptoms accurately. Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates to support clinical assessments. Prepare patients for examinations or procedures by explaining processes and ensuring comfort. Support clinical procedures including medication administration, X-ray preparation, and basic life support when necessary. Maintain detailed electronic health records (EHR) systems with accurate documentation of patient encounters, diagnoses (ICD coding), and treatment plans. Assist with inpatients in hospital settings, including those in Level I and Level II trauma centers, PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), or medical-surgical units. Perform routine laboratory tasks such as specimen collection and processing, along with basic anatomy and physiology knowledge to support diagnostic activities. Support emergency medicine scenarios by providing timely patient care in urgent or trauma situations. Manage administrative duties like appointment scheduling, insurance verification, and medical billing support to ensure seamless clinic operations. Skills Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and ICD coding for accurate documentation and billing. Experience working in dermatology, hospital medicine, urgent care, or outpatient clinics with a focus on patient service excellence. Proficiency with EHR systems for efficient data entry and retrieval of patient information. Ability to perform intake assessments, vital signs collection, and basic medication administration confidently. Familiarity with hospital experience including inpatient care environments such as Geriatrics, Internal Medicine, Medical-Surgical units, OR (Operating Room), or Level I/II trauma centers. Knowledge of emergency medicine protocols and Level I Trauma Center procedures for rapid response situations. Excellent communication skills to provide compassionate patient care while supporting medical staff effectively. Basic life support certification (BLS) is required; additional certifications in X-ray or emergency medicine are a plus.
