Certified Medical Assistant- Patient Account Representative

Job Summary Performs duties to assist in obtaining authorization and referrals. Work involves managing scheduling, answering phones, and keeping tabs on patient's authorization to ensure that it is current and up to date. Initiate the process to obtain new authorization if current authorization runs out prior to the completion of the prescribed Hyperbaric therapy. Will be trained to monitor the hyperbaric treatment and perform other task within the department that are consistent with role of CMA. May train others. Performs related work as assigned. Qualifications Education Required High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent

Experience:

Preferred One year of Clerical or Medical Office experience

Certification/Licensure:

Required Certified Medical Assistant Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Must obtain within ninety (90) days of start date Preferred Appropriate Hyperbaric certification when requirements are met by certifying agency.
