This is a front-office position focused on providing an excellent patient experience while supporting scheduling, treatment coordination, insurance, and daily dental office operations. Previous dental office experience is required. Our practice uses Eaglesoft , and Eaglesoft experience is preferred; however, experience with Dentrix, Open Dental, or another dental practice-management/EMR system is acceptable. Responsibilities Greet and check patients in and out in a friendly and professional manner Answer phones and assist patients with scheduling and questions Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments Maintain an organized and productive provider schedule Verify dental insurance eligibility and benefits Assist with insurance claims, pre-authorizations, and follow-up Review treatment plans, insurance estimates, and patient financial responsibilities Collect copays, deductibles, treatment payments, and outstanding balances Coordinate treatment and schedule recommended procedures Follow up with patients regarding unscheduled treatment Maintain accurate patient information and documentation in the dental software Assist with referrals, records requests, and other front-office responsibilities Communicate effectively with dentists, hygienists, assistants, and other team members Maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA requirements Qualifications Previous dental office experience required Experience with dental practice-management software/EMR required Eaglesoft experience preferred Knowledge of dental terminology and common dental procedures Understanding of dental insurance, benefits, claims, and patient financial responsibility Experience with dental scheduling and patient coordination Strong customer service and communication skills Comfortable discussing treatment plans and financial information with patients Strong organizational and multitasking skills Dependable, professional, and detail-oriented Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced dental office Preferred Experience Eaglesoft Dental insurance verification Treatment plan presentation and coordination Dental billing and claims Patient scheduling and recall Accounts receivable and collection of patient balances About the Position The Patient Care Coordinator is an important part of both the patient experience and the daily success of our practice. We are looking for someone who understands dental office operations, communicates confidently with patients, works well with a team, and takes ownership of their responsibilities.
