Job Description
POSITION
SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIESInterviews patients to obtain accurate and complete patient demographic and insurance information in order to complete the admission and registration of all patients at various locations throughout UH and to ensure the Patient Billing Department can bill timely and correctly for the services rendered at US. Communicates with privately paying patients about service charges and assists patients with payment arrangements. Collects copays, coinsurance and other monies that may be owed by patients. Collects appropriate forms for admission as required by Medicare, Medicaid, insurance companies and/or other agencies.EDUCATION/EXPERIENCEHigh school graduation or equivalent is required.
