Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Urgent Care Patient Access Specialist (PAS) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for patients seeking urgent care services, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience. You will be responsible for managing patient intake processes, coordinating with healthcare providers, and maintaining accurate patient records in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing exceptional customer service. Conduct patient registration and verify insurance information accurately. Collect necessary documentation and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations. Assist patients in completing required forms and answering any questions they may have. Schedule appointments and manage patient flow efficiently. Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) and update patient information as needed. Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure seamless communication regarding patient needs. Handle incoming calls and inquiries with professionalism and courtesy. Support administrative tasks as required to enhance operational efficiency. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in healthcare administration or related field is preferred. Previous experience in a medical office or urgent care setting is highly desirable. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service. Proficient in using electronic health record systems and other office software. Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus. Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed. A compassionate friendly demeanor with a strong commitment to patient care.
