We are looking for a Patient Access Clerk to join our Laboratory team and help create a welcoming, efficient, and patient-centered environment for everyone we serve. This role is more than registration and scheduling — it's an opportunity to provide reassurance, support healthcare teams, and make every patient interaction meaningful from the moment they walk through our doors.
In This Role, You Will:
Welcome patients with kindness and professionalism while assisting with registration and check-in processes. Verify patient information, insurance details, and test orders accurately and efficiently. Support laboratory operations through data entry, specimen coordination, and communication with clinical staff. Answer phone calls, assist with patient questions, and provide clear pre-test instructions. Maintain accurate patient records while ensuring HIPAA compliance and confidentiality. Help create a clean, organized, and positive reception environment for patients and visitors. Collaborate with laboratory and radiology teams to support smooth departmental operations. Provide excellent customer service and assist in resolving patient concerns with compassion and professionalism.
What We're Looking For:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Current BLS certification for healthcare providers required. Previous healthcare, laboratory, or medical office experience preferred. Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills. Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems preferred. Ability to multitask, maintain attention to detail, and support a fast-paced healthcare environment. A caring and dependable team player committed to exceptional patient service.
