Description:
Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Patient Admissions and Collections Clerk, where you will play a vital role in ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience for our patients from the moment they arrive. Key Responsibilities:
Obtain and verify necessary patient information to facilitate accurate admission into the hospital's information system. Serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing a friendly and professional interaction to build rapport and ease patient anxiety. Assist patients with completing admission paperwork and address any questions or concerns they may have. Review patient accounts to identify outstanding balances and attempt soft collections by engaging with patients to resolve unpaid bills. Act as an advocate for hospital programs and services, promoting patient-centered care aligned with the hospital's Mission, Vision, and Motto, "The Patient is First in ALL." Maintain confidentiality and adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and compliance standards.
Skills and Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or experience in healthcare administration is preferred. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate and professional demeanor. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to handle sensitive situations with tact and discretion. Basic proficiency in computer systems and data entry.
