Work Environment This position entails onsite work in the Dulles area, allowing for direct interaction with patients in the comfort of their own homes. As part of a dynamic team, you will collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals, including occupational therapists, nurses, and medical doctors, to provide holistic care solutions. Key Responsibilities Conducting thorough assessments of patients' physical abilities and limitations to develop customized treatment plans. Administering therapeutic exercises and manual therapy techniques to alleviate pain and restore mobility. Working with patients to set achievable rehabilitation goals and motivate them through their recovery journey. Implementing a range of contemporary treatment modalities, including neuromuscular re-education and functional training. Educating patients and their families on home exercises, posture correction, and body mechanics to ensure continued progress. Monitoring and documenting patient progress meticulously using EMR software such as WebPT. Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to optimize treatment outcomes and addressing any concerns that may arise. Staying abreast of the latest research and advancements in physical therapy to continually enhance practice standards. Patient Population / Client Focus You will primarily work with outpatient clients recovering from a variety of musculoskeletal injuries, post-surgery rehabilitation, and sports-related conditions. Your approaches will be tailored to both adolescent and adult populations, all while ensuring that each patient feels supported and empowered throughout their healing process. Qualifications A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required. An active state license in Virginia to practice as a Physical Therapist. A clean professional record without any history of sanctions or disciplinary actions. Strong proficiency in multiple manual therapy techniques with a focus on orthopedic care. Excellent knowledge of contemporary rehabilitation practices correlated with current research findings. Preferred Experience A minimum of 2 years of experience working in outpatient physical therapy or home care settings. Proficiency in utilizing electronic medical record (EMR) systems to document patient interactions and treatment plans. Demonstrated success in designing and implementing effective exercise programs tailored to individual patient needs. Compensation and Benefits The annual salary for this position will range from $100,000 to $120,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
