Your work will help identify trends, improve processes, and ensure that trauma patients receive the highest quality care possible. Key Responsibilities Abstract and analyze trauma patient data for inclusion in the Trauma Registry Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for state agencies, regulatory bodies, and trauma organizations Support quality improvement initiatives through accurate data collection and analysis Assist with hospital trauma center designation and verification activities Ensure timely submission of data to state and national trauma databases, including: National Trauma Data Bank (NTDB) Trauma Quality Improvement Program (TQIP) Maintain trauma program documentation, policies, and committee records as applicable Participate in registry validation and data accuracy initiatives Support injury prevention and trauma education efforts through data analysis and reporting What You'll Bring Required Qualifications Minimum three years of experience in healthcare or trauma-related services Strong knowledge of medical terminology and medical record documentation Excellent attention to detail and data management skills Strong organizational, analytical, and time-management abilities Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting productivity and reporting deadlines Obtain Abbreviated Injury Scale (AIS) certification within 18 months of hire Preferred Qualifications Experience with trauma registry abstraction and ICD-10 coding Formal ICD-10 coding training Successful completion of anatomy coursework Certified Trauma Registrar (CTR) Certified Coding Associate (CCA) Medical Technology education or related healthcare experience Ideal Candidate We're looking for someone who enjoys combining clinical knowledge with data analytics to drive meaningful results.
