Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Patient Services Representative to join our team. In this role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients, ensuring a positive experience while managing various administrative tasks. You will be responsible for facilitating communication between patients and healthcare providers, handling medical documentation, and supporting the overall efficiency of patient services. Responsibilities Greet patients and assist them with check-in and check-out processes. Manage phone systems to handle incoming calls, schedule appointments, and address patient inquiries. Conduct documentation review to ensure accuracy and completeness of patient records. Utilize electronic health record systems for data entry and management. Assist with medical collections and verify insurance information. Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations. File and organize medical records, ensuring easy retrieval when needed. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to streamline patient services and improve workflow. Additional administrative tasks, as requested by management Requirements Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred. Familiarity with electronic health record systems is a plus. Strong knowledge of medical billing practices and HIPAA compliance Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on patient service. Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail. Proficient in using phone systems and basic office software for documentation purposes. Strong organizational skills with the ability to file documents accurately. A commitment to providing exceptional service in a fast-paced environment.
