$17.00 - $23.00 /
Per Hour Hours:
4 days a week 7:30pm-6am, rotating weekends

This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) Job Description The Patient Access Specialist is responsible for supporting the patient intake and registration process within a healthcare organization. This role serves as a primary point of contact for patients and helps ensure accurate scheduling, insurance verification, registration, and financial clearance while delivering excellent customer service. Key Responsibilities Greet and assist patients in person and over the phone Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments Register patients and maintain accurate demographic information Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, referrals, and authorizations Collect co-pays, deductibles, and outstanding balances Explain financial responsibilities and payment options to patients Obtain required consent and privacy documentation Coordinate with providers, nurses, and insurance companies to support patient care Maintain compliance with HIPAA and organizational policies Utilize electronic medical record (EMR/EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner Required Skills Previous healthcare customer service or administrative experience Attention to detail and data accuracy Ability to multitask in a fast-paced healthcare environment Knowledge of insurance verification and medical terminology Qualifications 1-2 years of healthcare registration, scheduling, or customer service is required High school diploma or GED required Insurance verification and/or prior authorization experience required Associate degree or healthcare certification preferred Addison Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
