Prairie Ridge Health is looking for a team member to join our Psych Department in the role of Psychiatry Intake Coordinator. This position is 1.0 (40 hours per week) and will work Monday-Friday, days. POSITION SUMMARY
The role of the Psychiatry Intake Coordinator is responsible for the registration for incoming patients, and they are often one of the first employees that patients interact with and are expected to deliver high quality care. The intake coordinator is responsible for demographic and insurance verification for each new patient entering the clinic. The intake coordinator is also tasked with clerical duties such as managing paperwork, handling data entry, appointment scheduling and answering phones. Individuals in this position should be able to work in a fast-paced environment and have the time-management and multitasking skills necessary to perform a variety of duties concurrently. Speaking with and collecting information from clients and referral sources requires strong interpersonal skills, and attention to detail. The intake coordinator should also have a solid understanding of mental health clinic services and knowledge of its clerical functions.EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS/LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION
High School diploma or equivalent required. 1-2 years' experience in psychiatry setting- preferred Associate degree in Medical Office Management, Medical Staffing, Health Administration, or related field- Preferred Excellent organizational and communication skills strongly preferred. Strong customer service strongly preferred.Shift :
