Job Description
Job Summary The Patient Services Representative plays a vital role in providing administrative support and exceptional customer service in a healthcare setting. They are responsible for handling patient inquiries, scheduling appointments, and maintaining accurate medical records. Duties
- Greet patients and visitors in a professional and courteous manner
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries promptly
- Schedule patient appointments and follow-up visits
- Verify patient insurance information and process payments
- Maintain electronic health records accurately
- Assist with billing, coding and prior authorization tasks
- Coordinate referrals to other healthcare providers as needed Requirements
- Proficiency in medical office procedures and terminology
- Experience as a medical receptionist or in a dental office is preferred
- Knowledge of health information management systems
- Familiarity with phone systems and office management practices
- Bilingual proficiency is a plus
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
