Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join a multidisciplinary respiratory care team on a night shift travel assignment. The therapist will provide respiratory care for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients (NICU-trained candidates only for neonatal care), perform respiratory treatments, manage ventilators, assist with intubations, and respond to deliveries and C-sections when required. This position offers exposure to inpatient and emergency care settings with support from an in-house Intensivist and Charge RRT.
Responsibilities:
Administer respiratory treatments and therapies. Draw and analyze arterial blood gases (ABGs). Set up, monitor, and manage mechanical ventilators. Assist physicians with intubations. Provide respiratory care to adult and pediatric patients. Attend deliveries and C-sections when NICU trained. Monitor and document patient respiratory status. Float to an affiliated freestanding Emergency Department as needed. Follow all hospital respiratory care policies and procedures.
Must Have:
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification (CRT not accepted). Active Arizona Respiratory Therapist License. Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications. Ability to assist with intubations. Must live at least 100 miles from the facility. Required Experience / Licenses /
Certifications:
Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapy experience. Active Arizona RRT License. Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications. NRP required only for candidates with NICU experience.
