The Respiratory Therapist will monitor and evaluate the health of patients, and help create an effective treatment plan.

Summary:

The Respiratory Therapist instructs patients on diagnostic and DME procedures while maintaining knowledge of procedures and protocols. The Respiratory Therapist provides CPAP/BiPAP and Ventilator machines and other DME equipment through sales education, training, and follow-up care to patients with sleep or respiratory disorders. The Respiratory Therapist maintains relationships with facilities, clinics and physicians' offices as well as works closely with the Sales Rep, Director of Operations, and other members of the team.

Duties:

Provides set-up of respiratory equipment per physician order, including but not limited to portable non-invasive ventilation, CPAP/Bi-Level, oxygen therapy, airway clearance devices, and other monitoring devices. Provides instructions to the patient and/or his/her caregivers on the use of home respiratory equipment and respiratory therapy procedures. Follows up with patients on a monthly basis via phone or home visits, then provides compliance reports to physician's office. Provides patients additional DME equipment as needed (mask, filters, etc.) Resolves patient and referral concerns and is always willing to find quick solutions, in order to provide the best customer service possible. Enters all patients' setup documents and billing information into system for clean claims. Uses software to track patient compliance, including face-to-face documentation from patients. Prepares reports as indicated by supervisor during training and in-services. Keeps inventory of DME products cleaned and in order. Assists team as needed or requested by supervisor. Other duties may be assigned as needed. Maintains professional, respectful interaction with co-workers, supervisors and patients. Keeps all information confidential

License/Qualifications:

Valid State Driver's License required. CRT or RRT required. State RT license required. Clean driving record with a valid current California driver's license Company Vehicle provided for work -related travel

Experience:

2-3 year experience in clinical aspect of respiratory care or in medical office setting required.
