A Respiratory Therapist assists patients who have trouble breathing because of a chronic respiratory illness, trauma, or other conditions. Administers tests to diagnose breathing problems, performs treatments to help patients breathe easier, or sets up breathing equipment such as ventilators. Works closely with physicians and other healthcare workers, and may also assist in providing emergency care to patients suffering from heart attacks, drowning, or shock. Works in hospitals; may also provide care and counseling to patients in their homes.

We are a 98-bed Skilled Nursing Facility with rehabilitation services located in the heart of Long Beach. We are on the search for an RT to join the team! The RT will be responsible for creating and implementing appropriate care plans along with the RT Lead and clinical team.
Shifts Available:

Vacation and Sick Leave Pay Range:
$33-37/hour Depending on Experience Overview of the
Position:
The RT will evaluate, treat, and care for patients with breathing or other cardiopulmonary disorders. As the RT, you will be assuming primary responsibility for all respiratory care therapeutic treatments and diagnostic procedures. Assesses patients and recommends respiratory therapy treatments Plans, prepares and administers treatments including IPPB, aerosol, chest physical therapy, incentive spirometry, and sputum inductions, in accordance with established policies and procedures Performs diagnostic pulmonary and cardiac tests Inspects, tests, maintains and operates respiratory therapy equipment Responds to "code blue" calls and assist by maintaining the patient's airway and performs CPR Patient care documentation is timely, legible, and efficient.
Qualifications:
RRT/RCP License active in CA Skilled Nursing Facility strongly preferred
BLS/ACLS/CPR
