A Respiratory Therapist assists patients who have trouble breathing because of a chronic respiratory illness, trauma, or other conditions. Administers tests to diagnose breathing problems, performs treatments to help patients breathe easier, or sets up breathing equipment such as ventilators. Works closely with physicians and other healthcare workers, and may also assist in providing emergency care to patients suffering from heart attacks, drowning, or shock. Works in hospitals; may also provide care and counseling to patients in their homes.

Job Description Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

Location:

Santa Rosa, CARequirements Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapy experience Active California Respiratory Therapist License RRT credential required Current BLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS certifications Epic charting experience required Community hospital experience required Teaching hospital and Level I/II Trauma experience preferred First-time travelers welcome Clinical Experience Adult Critical Care Emergency Department Experience with ventilator management, oxygen therapy, and airway management Arterial blood gas (ABG) collection and interpretation Chest physiotherapy and pulmonary hygiene Aerosol and nebulizer medication administration Tracheostomy care and management Patient transport and respiratory support during procedures Any Specific Mandate skill required Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapy experience Active California Respiratory Therapist License equipment & Skills BiPAP, CPAP, SIMV, HFNC, mechanical ventilation Extubation and intubation assistance Airway suctioning (ETT, NT, oral, and nasal) Oxygen delivery devices including ET tubes, T-piece, trach collar, and oxygen tanks Administration of common respiratory medications including Albuterol, Atrovent, Combivent, Pulmicort, Flovent, Tobramycin, Mucomyst, Spiriva, Xopenex, and Racemic Epinephrine. $2,200.00 - $2,400.00 per week
