San Luis Valley Health is seeking a dedicated Respiratory Therapist to join its patient-focused Respiratory Therapy team in beautiful Alamosa, Colorado. Qualifications Required:

Graduate of an AMA-approved Respiratory Therapy program. Credentialed by the NBRC as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) . Active Colorado Respiratory Therapist license in good standing. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required within six months of hire. Ability to perform both basic and advanced respiratory care procedures. Responsibilities Perform advanced respiratory procedures including ventilator management, suctioning, artificial airway care, bedside spirometry, arterial blood gas (ABG) collection and interpretation, chest X-ray interpretation, and resuscitation. Administer respiratory therapies such as IPPB, Incentive Spirometry, EZ-PAP, HHN treatments, chest physiotherapy, aerosol treatments, oxygen therapy, and airway management. Provide smoking cessation and asthma education to patients. Perform diagnostic testing including EKGs, EEGs, Pulmonary Function Tests (PFTs), Mobile Cardiac Telemetry, Holter Monitor, and Event Monitor hookups. Maintain accurate documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR). Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members to provide exceptional patient care.
