What they do
A Respiratory Therapist assists patients who have trouble breathing because of a chronic respiratory illness, trauma, or other conditions. Administers tests to diagnose breathing problems, performs treatments to help patients breathe easier, or sets up breathing equipment such as ventilators. Works closely with physicians and other healthcare workers, and may also assist in providing emergency care to patients suffering from heart attacks, drowning, or shock. Works in hospitals; may also provide care and counseling to patients in their homes.

Job Description
Job Details Certifications, Education, Experience, and Location Requirements:
Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Cardiopulmonary, Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP certifications, minimum 3 years Pediatric ICU and Neonatal ICU (Level 3 or 4) experience, 3 years of Respiratory Therapist (RRT) experience, and the ability to work nights from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM, totaling 36 hours a week.Schedule:
12-hour night shifts with a minimum of 36 hours per week.Additional Responsibilities:
The role may require working on weekends (13 out of 26 weekends, including both Saturday and Sunday) and up to two major holidays per contract, depending on assignment needs.Float Requirements:
Float rotation may be required, with the potential to be reassigned within a 35-mile radius of the originally assigned facility to meet scheduling needs.Submission Requirements:
Candidates must have prior travel assignment experience and meet the outlined clinical experience thresholds.
