A Respiratory Therapist assists patients who have trouble breathing because of a chronic respiratory illness, trauma, or other conditions. Administers tests to diagnose breathing problems, performs treatments to help patients breathe easier, or sets up breathing equipment such as ventilators. Works closely with physicians and other healthcare workers, and may also assist in providing emergency care to patients suffering from heart attacks, drowning, or shock. Works in hospitals; may also provide care and counseling to patients in their homes.

Full Job Description Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist (RRT) position located at the Children's Hospital Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. This contract role involves providing respiratory therapy services in a pediatric intensive care unit environment. The assignment requires commitment to a 14-week period with scheduled shifts during nighttime hours.Job Details:
Schedule:
12-hour Night shifts | 6:45 PM 7:15 AM | Minimum of 48 hours per weekRequired Qualifications:
Certificates inACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP
; Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Cardiopulmonary; licensure as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT); Minimum 0 years of clinical experience; Ability to work at the specified location and meet schedule requirementsPreferred Qualifications:
Minimum 4 years Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) experience, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) experience, Pediatric Level 1 Trauma experience, and prior travel assignment experienceAdditional Notes:
Must be available to work Thanksgiving holiday (11/25, 11/26, 11/27). No on-call requirement. The assignment entails working 13 weekend shifts out of 26. On floating, the organization reserves the right to reassign personnel within the Denver Metro area up to 35 miles from the original facility.On-Call Requirement:
