A Respiratory Therapist assists patients who have trouble breathing because of a chronic respiratory illness, trauma, or other conditions. Administers tests to diagnose breathing problems, performs treatments to help patients breathe easier, or sets up breathing equipment such as ventilators. Works closely with physicians and other healthcare workers, and may also assist in providing emergency care to patients suffering from heart attacks, drowning, or shock. Works in hospitals; may also provide care and counseling to patients in their homes.

This respiratory therapy position involves providing specialized care for pediatric and neonatal patients within a hospital setting. The role requires working nights and includes holiday and weekend shifts, supporting critical care teams in delivering exceptional patient outcomes.
Job Details Position Description:
Required to work Thanksgiving Holiday (11/25, 11/26, 11/27). The assignment period is from 10/13/26 to 01/16/27, lasting 13 weeks.
Shift:
Night shift, 12 hours, from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
Required Qualifications:
Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Cardiopulmonary, prior travel assignment experience, Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) licensure, and a minimum of 3 years Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) clinical experience, along with 1 year of Pediatric Level 1 Trauma experience. Certifications must include ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NRP.
Preferred Qualifications:
At least 4 years of PICU and NICU experience, and 2 years of Pediatric Level 1 Trauma experience.
Schedule:
Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, 36 hours minimum per week.
Additional Information:
Candidate must be willing to work observed holidays if they occur during the contract. No requests for time off within the first two weeks are permitted. Exemptions for influenza vaccination are allowed for medical or religious reasons.
