A Respiratory Therapist assists patients who have trouble breathing because of a chronic respiratory illness, trauma, or other conditions. Administers tests to diagnose breathing problems, performs treatments to help patients breathe easier, or sets up breathing equipment such as ventilators. Works closely with physicians and other healthcare workers, and may also assist in providing emergency care to patients suffering from heart attacks, drowning, or shock. Works in hospitals; may also provide care and counseling to patients in their homes.

Neonates Full Job Description Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist (Registered) position located in an academic medical campus environment. This 14-week assignment requires working 12-hour night shifts with a focus on pediatric and neonatal intensive care units, including trauma care. Candidates must demonstrate clinical expertise in pediatric ICU and neonatal ICU settings and be available to work during observed holidays, with occasional float requirements within the Denver Metro area.

Nights, 12-Hour shifts, minimum of 48 hours per week
Required Qualifications:
Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Cardiopulmonary, minimum 3 years Pediatric ICU experience, minimum 3 years Neonatal ICU experience, minimum 1 year Pediatric Level 1 Trauma experience, licensure as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), Certifications including
ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NRP Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum 4 years Pediatric ICU experience, minimum 4 years Neonatal ICU experience, minimum 2 years Pediatric Level 1 Trauma experience
Additional Information:
Must be available to work observed holidays falling within the assignment period. No requested time off approved within the first two weeks of the assignment. Client reserves the right to float or reassign personnel to other practice areas within their clinical competence and within thirty-five miles of their original facility.
