A Respiratory Therapist assists patients who have trouble breathing because of a chronic respiratory illness, trauma, or other conditions. Administers tests to diagnose breathing problems, performs treatments to help patients breathe easier, or sets up breathing equipment such as ventilators. Works closely with physicians and other healthcare workers, and may also assist in providing emergency care to patients suffering from heart attacks, drowning, or shock. Works in hospitals; may also provide care and counseling to patients in their homes.

Job Description

Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist (RRT) position located on a medical campus. The assignment involves working a 12-hour night shift with a focus on pediatric intensive care, neonatal ICU, and trauma care. The role requires a minimum of three years of pediatric ICU and neonatal ICU experience, with additional responsibilities including holiday work and weekends.

Client reserves the right to float or reassign personnel within their clinical competence to other areas of practice within the Denver Metro area within thirty-five (35) miles of the originally assigned facility (unless otherwise agreed to in the individual assignment confirmation)
Required Qualifications:
Associates of Applied Science (AAS) in Cardiopulmonary, Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification, minimum 3 years Pediatric ICU experience, minimum 3 years Neonatal ICU experience, minimum 1 year Pediatric Level 1 Trauma experience, licensure/certification including
ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP.
Must have prior travel assignment experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum 4 years Pediatric ICU experience, minimum 4 years Neonatal ICU experience, minimum 2 years Pediatric Level 1 Trauma experience.
Additional Information:
Must be available to work observed holidays if they fall within the contract period. No requested time off (RTO) approved within the first two weeks of the assignment. Medical and religious exemption requests from the seasonal influenza vaccination are allowed.
