A Respiratory Therapist assists patients who have trouble breathing because of a chronic respiratory illness, trauma, or other conditions. Administers tests to diagnose breathing problems, performs treatments to help patients breathe easier, or sets up breathing equipment such as ventilators. Works closely with physicians and other healthcare workers, and may also assist in providing emergency care to patients suffering from heart attacks, drowning, or shock. Works in hospitals; may also provide care and counseling to patients in their homes.

This position involves providing specialized respiratory therapy care to pediatric and neonatal patients within a hospital setting. The role requires collaboration with a multidisciplinary team and support where needed, ensuring high-quality patient outcomes.
Job Details Position Description:
Pediatric and Neonatal Intensive Care unit (NICU) Respiratory Therapist providing patient care within the healthcare provider environment.
Required Qualifications:
Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Cardiopulmonary, minimum 2 years of pediatric experience, licensure as Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), valid BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications, minimum 2 years NICU (Level III or IV) and emergency department experience, and licensure and certification requirements as specified.
Schedule:
12-Hour Nights (6:30 PM 7:00 AM), minimum 36 hours per week.
Preferred Qualifications:
Neonatal/Pediatric Specialty (NPS) certification.
Additional Information:
Up to 6 ventilated patients in a small unit with a broad skill mix, requiring strong collaboration skills and teamwork. Experience with pediatric care and support for float and cross-cover responsibilities are valued.
