Category Respiratory Therapist Job Type Contract Healthcare professionals with expertise as a Respiratory Therapist and Registered Respiratory Therapist are invited to apply for an impactful contract opportunity. Your specialized skills will support patient care in an acute medical setting, providing vital therapies and interventions for individuals with respiratory challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess, plan, and implement respiratory care plans for patients experiencing pulmonary complications. Administer oxygen, aerosol, and respiratory medications as prescribed by clinicians. Operate and monitor advanced life-support equipment, including mechanical ventilators. Perform diagnostic tests and interpret results to evaluate respiratory functions. Educate patients and their families about respiratory care techniques and equipment. Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure integrated patient care. Maintain accurate patient records and adhere to all hospital and clinical protocols.
Key Qualifications:
Active credentials as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT). Valid state licensure to practice as a Respiratory Therapist. Recent and relevant clinical experience in respiratory care, preferably in a hospital environment. Proficiency in utilizing ventilators, nebulizers, and other respiratory care modalities. Strong critical thinking, communication, and technical skills. Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care delivery.
