Job Description

Active Registered Respiratory Tech (RRT) license and 2+ years of in-patient hospital Respiratory Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Seeking a skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist to provide expert respiratory care in a dynamic healthcare setting. In this contract position, you will deliver high-quality support to patients with a range of respiratory needs. Your expertise will play a vital role in diagnosing and treating patients, ensuring they receive the best possible care.
Qualifications & Experience Needed:
Valid and current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential Active license to practice as a Respiratory Therapist Proven clinical experience in respiratory care, preferably in hospital or acute settings Proficiency with ventilators, airway management, and pulmonary function testing Strong knowledge of respiratory medications, oxygen therapy, and related equipment Excellent problem-solving, assessment, and communication skills Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
Key Responsibilities:
Assess, plan, and implement respiratory care for patients of varying acuity Administer respiratory therapies, including aerosol, oxygen, and chest physiotherapy Set up, monitor, and manage mechanical ventilators and other advanced respiratory equipment Collaborate closely with physicians and nursing staff to support patient care plans Perform arterial blood gas analysis and interpret clinical data Document treatments, observations, and patient progress accurately in the medical record Instruct patients and families on managing chronic respiratory disease as needed Maintain a safe and clean working environment, following hospital protocols and safety regulations Embrace this opportunity to expand your experience and contribute meaningfully in the field of respiratory care.
