Schedule/Hours Travel assignment—flexible arrangements based on needs. May require on-call responsibilities and occasional floating to related departments, as appropriate to your qualifications. Key Qualifications Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential. Current licensure as required by state regulations. Proficiency in advanced diagnostic procedures, including arterial blood gas acquisition. Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and teamwork skills. Experience with patient/family education and interdepartmental communication valued. Core Responsibilities Deliver, evaluate, and adjust respiratory care based on physician orders and clinical interpretation. Act as a departmental resource, mentor, and advisor, supporting and guiding CRT staff. Effectively administer medications, monitor patient progress, and document care in accordance with department standards. Teach patients and families self-care techniques to encourage wellness and ongoing health. Participate in departmental quality improvement initiatives and safety programs. Help manage departmental resources, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining equipment and supply levels. Contribute to research activities and professional development projects within the respiratory care team.
