Respiratory Therapist Shift - 12 hour shifts, rotating weekends. Early shifts start at 6am to 630pm. There is also 2 on call shifts per week. Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Respiratory Therapist, where you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional respiratory care to patients across diverse clinical settings. This position offers an exciting opportunity to utilize your expertise in respiratory therapy, critical care, and emergency medicine to improve patient outcomes. You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to provide advanced airway management, ventilator support, and comprehensive patient assessments. Duties Assess patients' respiratory status through detailed evaluations of vital signs, oxygenation levels, and pulmonary function tests. Administer and manage respiratory therapies, including oxygen delivery systems, nebulizers, and aerosol treatments. Operate and troubleshoot a wide range of medical equipment such as ventilators, CPAP/BiPAP machines, and airway management devices. Provide emergency response for cardiac arrest situations by performing advanced airway management and resuscitation procedures. Monitor ventilator settings and make necessary adjustments to optimize patient comfort and safety in critical care environments. Collaborate with physicians and nurses to develop individualized treatment plans for patients with complex respiratory needs. Document all patient interactions accurately within EHR systems while maintaining compliance with hospital protocols. Qualifications Valid Respiratory Therapist license or certification in the State of Colorado Current BLS/ACLS and NRP certifications.
