Responsibilities:

Deliver safe and competent respiratory care following physician orders with an emphasis on specialty areas. Monitor mechanical ventilation and perform arterial blood gas draws. Manage airway techniques including bag/mask ventilation and assist with intubation procedures. Accurately document respiratory care procedures and verify physician orders. Participate in team rounds, in-services, and continuous education activities. Maintain communication and report patient status changes to supervisors and interdisciplinary teams. Assist in training new respiratory staff and students. Ensure compliance with personal protective equipment use and infection control policies. Perform cardiopulmonary diagnostics and procedures as needed, tailored to patient age and condition.

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

Graduate of a COARC-approved Respiratory Care Program with Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential. Minimum of one year hospital respiratory experience. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire. Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification within six months of hire. Background check and drug screening clearance. Demonstrated knowledge of cardiopulmonary equipment and patient assessment.
