A Respiratory Therapist assists patients who have trouble breathing because of a chronic respiratory illness, trauma, or other conditions. Administers tests to diagnose breathing problems, performs treatments to help patients breathe easier, or sets up breathing equipment such as ventilators. Works closely with physicians and other healthcare workers, and may also assist in providing emergency care to patients suffering from heart attacks, drowning, or shock. Works in hospitals; may also provide care and counseling to patients in their homes.

Job Description

$65/hour on W-2 Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a 13-week contract opportunity in Salida, Colorado , with a possible extension. The RRT will provide comprehensive respiratory care services, including patient assessment, diagnostic testing, respiratory therapies, airway management, and invasive/non-invasive mechanical ventilation. Schedule 36 hours per week Night shift: 6:00 PM-6:30 AM Rotating schedule: One week: Sunday-Tuesday Following week: Sunday-Wednesday Rotating weekends required Some call required Holidays included Candidates must be comfortable with the rotating schedule, call, weekends, and holidays prior to submission. Required Qualifications Certification or registry from an accredited college or technical school Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician or Registered Respiratory Therapist Minimum 2 years of experience required Current, active Colorado Respiratory Therapist license BLS- Required ACLS

- Required Key ResponsibilitiesDiagnostic & Assessment Perform and collect diagnostic information, including: Pulmonary Function Testing PadNet Sleep studies Non-invasive and invasive diagnostic procedures Blood gas and other relevant laboratory analyses Perform accurate patient assessments using physical examination findings and diagnostic data.
