Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Salida, CO 81201 13-Week Contract | Possible Extension Night Shift | 36 Hours/Week 6:00 PM-6:30

$65/hour on W-2 Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a 13-week contract opportunity in Salida, Colorado , with a possible extension. The RRT will provide comprehensive respiratory care services, including patient assessment, diagnostic testing, respiratory therapies, airway management, and invasive/non-invasive mechanical ventilation. Schedule 36 hours per week Night shift: 6:00 PM-6:30 AM Rotating schedule: One week: Sunday-Tuesday Following week: Sunday-Wednesday Rotating weekends required Some call required Holidays included Candidates must be comfortable with the rotating schedule, call, weekends, and holidays prior to submission. Required Qualifications Certification or registry from an accredited college or technical school Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician or Registered Respiratory Therapist Minimum 2 years of experience required Current, active Colorado Respiratory Therapist license BLS

  • Required Key ResponsibilitiesDiagnostic & Assessment Perform and collect diagnostic information, including: Pulmonary Function Testing PadNet Sleep studies Non-invasive and invasive diagnostic procedures Blood gas and other relevant laboratory analyses Perform accurate patient assessments using physical examination findings and diagnostic data.
Interpret diagnostic information and determine appropriate respiratory care interventions. Respiratory Care & Treatment Provide respiratory therapies, including: Medical gas therapy Humidity therapy Aerosol therapy Artificial airway insertion, management, and care Airway clearance Invasive mechanical ventilation Non-invasive mechanical ventilation Monitor patients' responses to respiratory treatments and assess therapeutic outcomes in a timely manner. Additional Responsibilities Participate in discharge planning and case management. Participate in public education activities focused on cardiopulmonary wellness. Attend required safety training, department meetings, and manager-directed in-services. Maintain compliance with department policies, safety standards, and respiratory care protocols. Submission Requirements Candidates should be prepared to provide: Updated resume Active Colorado Respiratory Therapist license Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications Driver's license copy 2 professional references RTO (Requested Time Off) at the time of submission
